Tim Dixon

Tim Dixon
Partner and Head of Personal Injury

Since 2004 he has also served as a Deputy District Judge in the civil courts.

He draws great satisfaction from his personal injury cases, where he has long experience in winning compensation for the victims of accidents, industrial diseases, medical negligence and criminal acts. He attributes his successes to bringing both personal attention and legal expertise to a problem. Tim's knowledge in this field is acknowledged by his professional peers, and he is a member of the Law Society Personal Injury Panel.

Tim's other specialisation is in the public welfare of children, where he acts in the interests of the child in adoption (both domestic and foreign), fostering, care proceedings and similar cases. He is a member of the Law Society's Children's Panel.

A multiple prize winner in his law student exams, Tim has practiced since 1975 in Swindon where he has become an active supporter of Swindon Town Football Club. Tim enjoys travel, with a particular love of the food, wine and climate of Italy.

Martin Evans

Martin Evans
Partner and Head of Business Services

Martin is Wiltshire born and bred and his knowledge and understanding of the local marketplace, in addition to his wide experience in the commercial field, is appreciated by clients from a variety of business sectors.

Martin specialises in commercial property matters, including commercial property leases and freehold property transactions. He is experienced in many aspects of general business law, and can give legal guidance and support to business start-ups including company formations, and will advise on partnership and shareholder agreements as well as general commercial contracts..
He is also experienced in dealing with company share and asset sales and purchases and sales and purchases of unincorporated businesses.

After qualification as a solicitor in 1972, Martin was made a Partner at Lemon & Co two years later. A keen sportsman, Martin played rugby golf and cricket, though now limits his sporting activities to the golf course.

Stephen Moss

Stephen Moss
Partner and Head of Family and Collaborative Law

Stephen is a particular specialist in the financial and property issues arising from divorce. He is a trained Collaborative lawyer and Mediator. He has expertise in cohabitation disputes, pre-nuptial agreements and voluntary negotiations, as well as a broad experience of other domestic and family-based disputes.

As a trained Collaborative Lawyer and Mediator, he will always look for a collaborative solution where that is a better option than going to court. Indeed, Stephen is committed to seeking the most appropriate route through emotionally demanding times, and will ensure that his clients benefit from the wide range of specialist expertise that Lemon&Co can offer, across all aspects of the law.

Stephen moved to Lemon&Co from a solicitors practice in Blackburn, Lancashire. He enjoys travel with his wife Deirdre, who is also a Partner at Lemon&Co. Stephen is a keen golfer, though his work schedule doesn't allow him to keep his handicap quite as low as he would like.

Deidre Moss

Deirdre Moss
Managing Partner

Deirdre specialises in Wills, Trusts and Probate, offering a wide portfolio of services including will writing, the administration of estates, deeds of family arrangements, inheritance tax planning, contentious probate, and settling both disputes of wills and disputes concerning the power of attorney. Deirdre's expertise in private law allows her to offer a broad legal overview, supported by the wide-ranging specialist services of Lemon&Co's team, and anticipate any problems that may lie ahead.

Deirdre pays particular attention to older clients, and can arrange home visits if this is necessary. She takes a real pride in a job well done, and the satisfaction of sorting out complicated legal arrangements. Her personal attention is much appreciated by a number of clients of long-standing, many of whom have recommended Lemon&Co to their own families as a result. You may also have heard Deirdre on local radio talking about the law.

Deirdre's legal career has taken her from London to Lancashire, before settling in Swindon with her husband Stephen, who is also a Partner at Lemon. Away from work, Deirdre loves to travel, particularly to watch rugby. She enjoyed the Rugby World Cup in Australia.

Nita King

Nita King
Partner and Head of Litigation

Born in Kenya, Nita moved to England when she was 16. She went to University in Bristol, and worked at the city's courts where she developed her interest in law. After legal training in Bristol, she moved to Swindon in 2001, and was made a Partner at Lemon&Co the following year.

Nita has wide experience in commercial litigation and in Alternative Dispute Resolution. Her many specialities include representing businesses in commercial contractual disputes; professional negligence; partnership and shareholder disputes; agency law; and injunctions and her particular specialty is in dealing with landlord and tenant and property disputes

Nita has forged strong links with the Asian business community in the West Country, and is fluent in Gujarati, as well as having a working knowledge of Hindi and Swahili.

Away from work, Nita loves to travel. She has trekked in the mountains of Africa and Malaysia and visited India, North and South America, Australia, New Zealand and South east Asia. Nita is a Patron of a charity tackling sickle cell disease and thallasemia, and in her spare time likes reading and the theatre.

David Halfhead

David Halfhead
Partner, Residential and Commercial Property

As Head of Residential Conveyancing at Lemon&Co, David Halfhead is responsible for the smooth transfer of a substantial proportion of property bought and sold by the homeowners of the Swindon area.

Assisted by Ian Tomlinson, David has overseen the department that has grown with the town to become one of the largest conveyancing teams in Swindon over recent years. They offer the complete range of services required for buying and selling a house or other property and often oversee individual transactions over the value of £1million.

David also acts for investment buyers, developers and landowners, buying at home and abroad, and for overseas buyers looking to purchase in the UK. His experience and personal knowledge of the property market, as well as his local knowledge and contacts has allowed him to build an excellent relationship and reputation amongst other local property professionals.

Born and bred in Swindon, David trained as a solicitor in Devizes before joining Lemon&Co in 1980. As well as being a keen supporter of local rugby, football and cricket, and a keen cyclist, David has competed in, and completed!, a number of Triathlons.

Paul Archer

Paul Archer
Partner and Head of Employment Law

Paul is well-known in Swindon and beyond as an authority on employment law, His regular seminars on aspects of the law have become popular with local businesses and Citizens Advice Bureaux across the region, and Paul also produces articles for the local media.

Paul has made many successful appearances for both employees and employers alike, in the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeals Tribunal. He has extensive experience across a broad range of employment cases, dealing in fair and unfair dismissals, discrimination, compromise agreements, the successful negotiation of exit packages, drafting contracts, and managing redundancies.

Born in Surrey, Paul is now happily settled in Wootton Bassett where, away from work, he enjoys the captaincy of the Wootton Bassett Tennis Club. He is also a leading light in the Swindon Philosophical Society which brings visiting lecturers from universities in Bath, Bristol and Oxford to its meetings.
