You Can’t Take it With You – BBC 2 programme on Friday nights at 9pm

Business guru Sir Gerry Robinson is on our small screens at the moment in a riveting programme called Can’t Take It with You that is focused on the highly-emotional subject of will-writing. The BBC has undertaken the six-episode series with the aim of looking at some of the problematic situations that can arise around the issue, such as helping two families torn over what to write in their wills, and reveals just how important it is to get your affairs in order – whatever your situation.

Sir Gerry’s role is to troubleshoot these problems and help families come to terms with how to efficiently and easily sort things out.

It raises the surprising fact that the vast majority of people in the UK die without a valid will. But for many people writing a will gives a sense of satisfaction and relief at sorting out their affairs, and knowing that they are safeguarding the future of their family and friends.

Making a will is not always as difficult or expensive as you might think, but it is a legal document and it should be properly prepared.
